It is amazing how often, as a photographer, you ignore your backyard.  I live 90 minutes from the heart of the Smokey Mountains in Tennessee and yet I go so seldom. Most of my photographs are from exotic (to me at least) parts of the world. And yet the Smokies attract more visitors in the USA than any other National Park. Partly, this is due to its size. But they really are an amazing place to visit. This picture is from Cades Cove, on a rainy day earlier this month.
