Street photography in Central Asia
Guilty again. I’ve been traveling again but I haven’t posted updates here. Since my New Zealand trip I have been to Hong Kong, Bishkek, Kathmandu, Yangon and Bangkok. I have even been taking photos at home. The parts of Central Asia I was in, didn’t by and large, lend themselves to landscape photography. So I focused on street photography. Each of the pictures I will post are telling a story. This first was of a wonderful grandmother living in a village just outside Bishkek. Here she is preparing vegetables from her garden. She is of the Dungan people group. Dungan is a term used to refer to a Muslim people of Chinese origin (in in territories of the former Soviet Union) (Wikipedia). They are a very hospitable people and laid out a large spread for us.
