Baden-Baden is a really beautiful town on the border of the Black Forest in South West Germany. It’s well known as a spa town due to its 12 thermal springs that provide therapeutic water at 68 degrees celsius to the various spas. It was once known as the summer capital of Europe and it was a favorite meeting place of the rich and famous. This pedigree is evident as you walk around the beautiful streets of the town. I was there at Christmas time, which is an ideal time to visit due to the amazing Christmas market and street decorations. Christmas markets in Europe are fantastic. Great food, gluhwein (mulled wine) and just pure charm, make for a wonderful experience. The following are some of the photos of Baden-Baden at night.
